I’ve spent years working with teens in high schools, so I get the challenges you’re facing. You don’t have to pretend everything’s fine when it isn’t. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, school stress, or family issues will work together to make things easier – no judgment, just real conversations.

Parenting a teen can feel overwhelming, especially when they seem withdrawn, unmotivated, or lost. Maybe school is calling, grades are slipping, or conflict at home is growing. You’ve tried everything—books, advice, endless Google searches—but you’re still searching for real answers.

Some changes are normal in adolescence, but certain signs—like isolation, mood swings, risky behavior, or talk of self-harm—may mean your teen needs extra support. Therapy can help them navigate stress, anxiety, loss, or life transitions in a safe, non-judgmental space.

I’ve spent years working with teens—as a foster parent, group home supervisor, and high school social worker—guiding them through challenges and growth. I’d love to support your teen, too. Let’s talk.

Counseling for Adults

By the time we  are adults, we have  all gone  through difficult times.  In our lifetime, we  may face stress that comes from grief, trauma, mental un-health, messed up relationships, and the countless pressures of living in a chaotic world.   It can all seem overwhelming.

You have strengths, abilities, and resources  that can  help you regain your sense of direction.

You are so much more powerful than your struggles.

There is a way forward, though all of your stuck feelings, and the hurts that are sucking the life out of  you. Therapy can be your anchor, your safe place, and a transformative experience.

My approach to therapy incorporates Solution-Focused Therapy and Internal Family Systems therapies. These frameworks will help you understand and resolve the conflicting parts of your beliefs, behaviors, and needs.

I’ll help you to take action steps (think homework!), to rewrite the unhelpful patterns that are keeping you stuck. Imagine feeling relief and new confidence as you live your authentic life.
